STEP 3. Place the floor compartment into position between the front bucket seats. The compartment should neatly fit the shape of the back of the plastic gear lever surround, and should neatly follow the contours of the floorpan. The compartment should be centred between the seats.

STEP 4. Using a marker pen, mark out onto the floor mat, the position of the two holes in the compartment mounting brackets.

STEP 5. Remove the compartment from the vehicle and make sure that your marks on the floor mat are in line with the heads of two threaded screws.

STEP 6. Using a sharp knife, cut a piece out of the floor mat and underfelt to allow access to the two threaded screws.

STEP 7. Remove the two threaded screws from the captive nuts in the floorpan. (these two screws are now discarded)

STEP 8. Open the "console fitting kit". Two longer threaded screws have been provided to mount the floor compartment.
