FITTING
INSTRUCTIONS
Introduction.
The
storage drawers are fitted to the vehicle without drilling
any holes by utilising the four luggage tie down captive
nuts. The cargo area carpet remains in position. The two
door pockets that are attached to the rear cargo door must
be removed to allow enough space for the driver's side drawer
to open.
Step
1. Remove the two door pockets that are attached to
the rear door. The sixteen screw holes in the door trim
can be covered by attaching the snap caps and pop rivets
provided in the fitting kit.
Step
2. Cut four pieces out of the cargo carpet (each approximately
40mm in diameter) above each of the 'tie down' captive nuts.
Each of these 'cut outs' should allow access to the bolt
heads and should allow enough space to fit the 32mm diameter
plywood packers supplied in the fitting kit.
Step
3. Remove the four luggage tie downs that are fitted
to the cargo floor.
Step
4. Place the four 32mm diameter plywood packers in position
on the cargo floor with the centre hole aligned with the
threaded hole in the captive nut. The top of each packer
should be at the same level as the top of the cargo carpet.
Step
5. The top of this drawer system (the false floor) is
in two sections. Unscrew each of these sections and remove
them from the drawer units. If the drawer system has a built
in fridge slide, only remove half of the false floor - i.e.
remove the false floor on the opposite side to the fridge
slide.
Step
6. Place the two drawer units in position in the vehicle
without the false floor and side fillers attached. Join
the two drawer units together using the six 35mm x 6mm threaded
screws, nuts and washers provided in the fitting kit - the
holes are drilled. (if the drawer system has a built in
fridge slide there are only five threaded screws. Three
30mm x 6mm and two 35mm x 6mm)
Step
7. Align the mounting holes in the drawer unit with
the four 'tie down' captive nuts. Fix the draw unit into
position using the four 8mm x 60mm bolts and 30mm diameter
washers provided in the fitting kit.
Step
8. Attach the two side fillers using the black panhead
screws supplied in the fitting kit.
Step
9. Place the false floor tops in position then screw
them back onto the drawer units.
