FITTING
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DUAL CAB & STATIONWAGON
Introduction.
Four holes must be drilled into the vehicle to fit this
console. The two front mounting screws for the console are
attached to the steel channel that is covered by the interior
light. The two rear mounting screws are attached to a steel
channel under the hood lining where the front and rear hood
lining panels join.
Step 1. Remove
the interior light and the mounting plate for the interior
light.
Step 2. Hold
the console into position to check the fit. Make sure you
have received the correct console, in good order, before
cutting any holes in the console.
Step 3. Fit your radio(s) and accessories into the
console - see the "instructions on installing a radio
into a console" and the "radio fitting kit"
supplied with the console.
Step 4. Install
the wiring and aerial lead(s) before fitting the console.
Be sure to leave enough spare wire to reach down the seat.
This will make it easier to connect your wiring to the radio(s)
before fitting the console. The excess wire can be coiled
up inside the console.
Step 5. Place
the console on the seat. Connect the wiring and check that
the radio(s) and accessories are operational before installing
the console.
Step 6. Hold the console in position, make sure the
console is sitting flush with the hood lining and make sure
the front and back of the console are in the centre of the
hood lining.
Step 7. Using
a 3mm diametre drill bit, drill four holes into the steel
channels in line with the four mounting screw holes in the
console.
Step 8. Attach
the front of the console to the vehicle using two of the
50mm long screws and two washers provided in the fitting
kit.
Step 9. Attach
the rear of the console to the vehicle using the remaining
two 50mm long screws and the two washers provided in the
fitting kit.
Step 10. Connect
the interior light wiring plug then fit the interior light
onto the base of the console.
