Introduction.
Troopcarriers have several different configurations of captive nuts fitted to
the cargo floor. In most cases the storage drawers are fitted to the vehicle without
drilling any holes by utilising the
rear seat captive nuts. If holes do need
to be drilled, the drawer system mounting brackets have been positioned for easy
access from under the vehicle. Use a minimum of four bolts to hold the
drawer system in place. One bolt at the front and one bolt at the back of each
drawer unit. The rubber mat fitted to the cargo floor remains in position.
Step
1. If the vehicle has passenger seats in the cargo area, remove the seats,
the seat brackets and all the bolts. Make sure you seal the cargo floor by replacing
any bolts back into the captive nuts that are not being used.
Step
2. The top of this drawer system (the false floor) is in two sections. Unscrew
each of these sections and remove them from the drawer units.
Step
3. Place the two drawer units in position in the vehicle without the false
floor and side fillers attached. Join the two drawer units together using the
nine 35mm x 6mm threaded screws, nuts and washers provided in the fitting kit
- the holes are drilled. (If the drawer system has a built in fridge slide there
are only eight threaded screws.)
Step
4. Align the mounting holes in the drawer system with the seat captive nuts.
Fix the drawer system into position using the 40mm x 10mm bolts and 38mm diameter
washers provided in the fitting kit.
Step
5. Attach the two side fillers using the black panhead screws supplied in
the fitting kit.
Step
6. Place the false floor tops in position then screw them back onto the drawer
units.
