Points of Interest:

  • Our storage drawers have been designed to be as strong and as light as possible. This is achieved by constructing the drawers from marine bonded plywood then re-enforcing any areas that are highly stressed with steel components. Some parts are glued screwed and braced, other parts are riveted or bolted together. Click here for more information on the construction.
  • Designed individually to suit the Prado, neatly following the contours of the vehicle. Our drawers are designed to utilise all the space available.
  • There is a large curve in the panel in the top corners of the rear door opening. The matching curved top on the door can get in the way of a fridge on a fridge slide. To overcome this we can make one drawer wider than the other. The fridge slide will be the same width as the wide drawer. The fridge can be mounted closer to the centre of the vehicle to avoid the top of the door.
  • Fits to the vehicle without drilling any holes by utilising 4 seat mount captive nuts in the cargo area.
  • This drawer system does not interfere with child restraint points as they are fitted to the back of the seat.
  • If required, a Milford cargo barrier can be fitted in front of this system.
Full drawer system (two drawers "side by side") $2220 + options, half drawer system (one drawer) $1110 + options.
The internal dimensions for each drawer if both drawers are the same size: 835mm(L) 432mm(W) 225mm (H) (These measurements are for our standard size drawer system. The height of each drawer can be changed to suit the customer).

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1. If the vehicle is fitted with third row passenger seats in the cargo area, remove the seats, and the seat belts.

Step 2. Four of the "seat mount" captive nuts will be utilised to mount the drawer system.

Step 3. Remove the two plastic panels that surround the seat mount brackets. Remove the four seat mount bolts as indicated in the diagram. The remaining four seat mount bolts and brackets can stay in position.

Step 4. Four large nuts have been provided in the fitting kit to be used as spacers. Place these spacers above the four exposed seat mount captive nuts.

Step 5. The top of this drawer system (the false floor) is in two sections. Unscrew each of these sections and remove them from the drawer units. If the drawer system has a built in fridge slide, only remove half of the false floor - i.e. remove the false floor on the opposite side to the fridge slide.

Step 6. Place the drawer units in the vehicle without the false floor and the side fillers attached. Align the mounting holes in the drawer units with the four "seat mount" captive nuts.

Step 7. Join the two drawer units together using the six 35mm x 6mm threaded screws, nuts and washers provided in the fitting kit - the holes are drilled. (If the drawer system has a built in fridge slide there are only five threaded screws. Three 30mm x 6mm and two 35mm x 6mm).

Step 8. Fix the drawer units into position using the four 40mm x 10mm bolts and washers provided in the fitting kit.

Step 9. Attach the two side fillers using the black panhead screws provided in the fitting kit.

Step 10. Place the false floor tops in position then screw them back onto the drawer units.
